Definitely, this is the first step for those who dream of becoming a hang glider pilot or even just to take pleasure from an unforgettable and magical experience, which is flying.
Instruction Flight
Both instructor (pilot) and student (passenger), take off on the same wing.
Basic instructions about the taking off process are given prior to the flight.
After this first flight, the course may continue or not, depending on your wish. There's no commitment at all.

Take-off
Take off from Pedra Bonita's ramp, located in Tijuca's National Park and land on Sao Conrado1s beach.
There's no maximum age limitation for flying but you must be over 16. In case you're 16 years old, it is mandatory that someone older fills and signs in a declaration of responsibility, which is provided by the association.
The equipment is designed to fly with up to 240kg (529lbs). Additionally, heavier passengers may not have the needed mobility for a safe take off. Although the weight does not directly influence it, in some cases it interferes in the short run needed to take off. The hang- glider takes off with passengers weighing up to 95kg (209lbs), approximately. However, if you're heavier than this average, please contact us. We'll analyse your situation by choosing the most appropriated wind condition as well as evaluating if there's any kind of movement restriction.
Shoes are mandatory (tennis or similar ones) for the passenger.Choose comfortable clothes with good freedom of movement.
PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: In many cases they can also fly and we will analyse each case.
A flight for three people is not possible. It's permitted to have on board only the pilot and one passenger.
We avoid flying in turbulence or uncomfortable conditions. Our goal is to show the tranquility and beauty of the tandem flight.

As our instructors are also competition pilots, you can profit from their knowledge of climate conditions, which is fundamental for a longer flight!
We will contact you two hours before your flight is arranged in case we detect the weather condition is not recommended for flying. If the forecast is not favorable, we recommend you shouldn't head to the ramp and we'll manage to rearrange it.
